Green Mole Sauce - Dona Maria - 230g
Milder than it might look, we recommend to serve this delicious and thick mole with chicken or beef.
The green mole has a pronounced herbal flavour and is prepared with tomato, green chilli, onion, garlic and spices. It is thickened with corn dough, pumpkin seeds and pips. It is given aroma and flavour with Mexican condiments hoja santa and epazote.
It is the only completely prehispanic mole.

How to prepare it:
Pour the whole contents in a pot and cook for 5 minutes on low to medium heat, stirring constantly until it looks like a runny paste. Slowly add 3.5 cups of water and continue stirring until integrated. Let boil until the desired consistency is reached. For a runnier sauce, just add more water.
*Tip: for a richer flavour, you can use chicken stock instead of water.
