Deep, dark and malty, they way every Scotch Ale should be. Edinburgh based Stewart Brewing mix it up by including NZ maestros 8 Wired in the process and chucking in some classic American hops. It’s nutty, chocolatey and, with a distinct coffee tinged air, it romps across your palate. There’s a light resinous background which lets you know the hops are there and accounted for. Sweet but balanced by whisper soft bitterness, this is a beer to sup on a dark and rainy night.
