and local honey. Bittered, balanced and the first of its kind.
Deliberately kept at strength so it can take a little dilution. Savour over ice or top with
soda for a complex modern highball.
Botanicals: Allspice, hibiscus, coriander, lovage, kola, quassia, rhubarb, lemon and lingonberry
Base: Ardmore (7-year-old, ex-bourbon 1st fill), North British (3-year-old, virgin oak) and Invergordon (12-year-old, ex-sherry)
Tasting notes: Natural wine, thick-cut marmalade, cherry jawbreakers, subtle peat
Sweetdram was founded in 2014 by Andrew MacLeod Smith and Daniel Fisher, who met in 2011 while studying for their Master’s degrees in brewing and distilling.
Based inside a massive industrial warehouse in Edinburgh, the Sweetdram distillery is an immersive contemporary space and an exciting work-in-progress. The production room, located behind pink doors, houses their custom-made copper production still, whose unusual helical head produces a unique, intensely aromatic spirit.
The rest of the site has been transformed into a non-profit events venue and community hub called 54EP.
