What is ‘zero-contact delivery’?

Due to the severely contagious nature of Coronavirus, we will be operating a ‘zero-contact delivery’. This means that we will arrive with your order, give you a ring to let you know it is there, and then we will leave.

 

Is there a minimum order? 

 

No. 

 

How much does delivery cost? 

£4.95 flat rate across Edinburgh (Within 14km of our unit) - you can use the postcode checker to see if we deliver to you. If you live outwith these areas, you can order for collection. 

 

How does your collection work? 

We have also introduced a collection option from our Unit at EH5
1RS.
This is also a zero contact collection option. Our procedures may
seem extreme, but we take our customers and staff safety seriously.

Please park outside our unit and give us a call on 0131 551 6868.

You will need your order number handy so please have access to this and
give us a description of your vehicle. Our staff will then place your
order directly into your car.

What if I am not home?

We can arrange with you a safe place to leave your order - please leave a note in the delivery section of your order.

 

I am elderly/disabled and will be unable to move my order alone?

Please give us a call or an email to see if we can make special arrangements. This may not be possible for the safety of both our customers and team members.

 

Can I chose a delivery date?

Yes, you can schedule your delivery for any day within the next 10 days. 

 

Can I book a time slot for delivery?

Unfortunately not.

  

Can I place an order for a friend or relative?

Of course, just enter their details for the shipping address. Please do make sure to leave us a note with any relevant information for delivery and add their contact number in case we need to get in touch.

Can I change my order after it is placed? 

As long as we have not dispatched it, we should be able to change your order or add more items on. E-mail your request, including your order number to efdorders@gmail.com

Can I pay in cash?

Unfortunately not. Payments must be made in full at time of placing order - this maintains our ability to provide a ‘zero-contact’ delivery as well as minimising the hygiene & security risks handling cash poses for our team.

 

Where do you source your products?

Having run The Edinburgh Catering Company since 2013 we have a large and trusted network of suppliers. We also supply from many local suppliers across Edinburgh, Perthshire & East Lothian. 

What additional hygiene procedures do you have in place?

Our team adhere to strict cleanliness practices working in a professional kitchen. Additionally we have taken on board and are following the governments advice.

 

Can you source items that are not listed on the website?

We can try! If we are able to source something we absolutely will, fire a message to efdorders@gmail.com if there are specific items you are looking for.

 

What if my items are unavailable? Will you substitute them?

We will do everything we can to make sure what you order if what we deliver, however, if we cannot deliver an item, we will attempt to find a close replacement, but try and e-mail or call you to confirm this.
